Seminarium
On Tuesday, June 2 GAC will host a Zoom event at 09.00-11.00 Swedish Time. We have invited researchers to present data related to changes in air quality due to the COVID-19 global slowdown. Invited speakers will present first-looks at data from a couple of air quality hotspots - China and India, our local Göteborg environment, and we will have a look at the global situation.
There has been a lot of publicity about links between COVID-19 and air quality in addition to changes in emissions due to the global slow down (e.g, https://theconversation.com/what-we-do-and-dont-know-about-the-links-between-air-pollution-and-coronavirus-137746), yet it is likely it will take significant time for the complete story to emerge as scientist around the world dig through the abundant data. This is our chance to get a first hand impression of how things are reflected in the data we are currently looking at!
Planned schedule:
9.00-9.10 Welcome and Introduction, ZOOM ground rules for participation
9.10-9.30 Zhijun Wu (PKU)
