Sweden: University of Gothenburg

Anders EkbomDr Anders Ekbom is Deputy Director at Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, GMV at Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg. There he works as Team leader of the Environmental Economics and Policy Group, advisor to Sida and project leader (2008-2019) for the Forest Climate Livelihoods Research network (www.focali.se). In an International Training Programme (2012-2018) on Strategic Environmental Assessment he has worked as lecturer and mentor for university lecturers, and civil servants in ministries and government agencies in Africa and Asia. He holds a Ph D from University of Gothenburg in Economics and has previously worked as environmental economist in the World Bank. He teaches on Strategic Environmental Assessment at masters level at the School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg, and advisor to OECD:s Technical Expert Group on SEA.

Emelie CesarMs. Emelie César (MSc in Environmental Economics and MSc in Environmental Science) has worked at the University of Gothenburg as a SEA specialist and senior policy analyst to Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) for over ten years. She has senior expertise in mainstreaming environmental sustainability in development cooperation. She is a university lecturer at MSc environmental science courses at University of Gothenburg. Her key qualifications include environmental economics; environmental and climate change mainstreaming in development cooperation; Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), pollution (air, water, soil); rural development (land tenure); results based management and environmental and climate change indicators. During 2013-2019 she has been working in the ITP SEA program in Asia (incl. Bangladesh; Lao PDR; Vietnam) and has had the role as mentor for Lao PDR participants.

Gunilla Ölund WingqvistMs. Gunilla Ölund Wingqvist works at Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, GMV, at Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg. There, she works as is a senior advisor to Sida regarding environmentally sustainable development. Gunilla was a programme co-director for the Sida-financed International Training Programme on Strategic Environmental Assessment (ITP SEA) for Asia (2014-2019), as well as a lecturer and mentor. Since her MSc in Engineering (Industrial Management, Chalmers University of Technology) Gunilla has over 25 years of experience working with sustainable development and development cooperation, as an analyst, adviser, lecturer, process leader, project manager and consultant. She has extensive experiences from environmental integration and assessment, capacity development, organisational and institutional assessment and change, rights based approaches, facilitation, project management, and managing and monitoring towards results.


 
Portugal: University of Lisbon

Maria Rosario PartidarioDr. Maria Rosario Partidario is an international consultant and university professor on strategic assessment for sustainability, in public and private sectors. She has a long track record on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) as an author, trainer and consultant. She is author of the methodology Strategic thinking for sustainability in SEA, available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. She is former President of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and has obtained the IAIA2015 Lifetime Achievement Award for significant contribution to SEA theory, education, and practice.

MonteiroMargarida Barata Monteiro, MSc in Environmental Engineering (IST-UL) and PhD in Strategic Environmental Assessment (IST-UL), is an integrated researcher of the Centre for Management Studies of IST (CEG-IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal, in the research group SENSU (Strategic Environment and Sustainability approaches). Currently she is attending an MSc in Sociology (FCSH-UNL), focusing on the sociology of organizations within the field of Strategic Environmental Assessment. Margarida is also collaborating in teaching the courses of Environmental Impacts and Environmental and Territorial Management in IST. Since 2011 Margarida is researching on strategic and sustainability assessment (SEA), exploring strategic thinking approaches, governance, transitions to sustainability, and SEA capacity, associated with several international and Portuguese research projects. During this time she was also involved, as a consultant, in more than 10 SEA. She is currently a board member of the Portuguese Association of Impact Assessment for 2019-2020.

MartinsDr. Rute Martins is an integrated researcher of the Centre for Management Studies of IST (CEG-IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal, in the research group SENSU (Strategic Environment and Sustainability approaches). Her professional skills and interests are land use planning, ecosystem services, environmental policy, sustainability, environmental assessment (SEA and EIA) and stakeholder engagement. During the last ten years she has worked as project manager and researcher in different European projects in the fields of land use planning, urban-rural links, mining and marine ecosystems. With this experience she has acquired project management and organizational skills and learned to work in multicultural contexts integrated in multidisciplinary teams. During this period she also provided consultancies for environmental assessments (SEA and EIA) in land use planning. She holds a MSc in Landscape Architecture (ISA-UL) and a PhD in Environmental Engineering (IST-UL) focused on valuing resources considering stakeholder engagement and sustainable transitions.


 

Bangladesh: Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University

Shafiqul BariDr. Md Shafiqul Bari is faculty member of the Department of Agroforestry and Environment, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He has a background in Agriculture, Agroforestry and Environmental Sciences and a Ph.D. on Multilayered Agroforestry Production Systems. He has completed 3 postdoc studies on environment in Greece, UK and Japan. He has published 45 research papers in different journals. He is mainly interested in the sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly farming systems. His current research is about agricultural land use systems and their impacts on biodiversity and livelihood of farmers. He conducts research on the impact of different industries in nearby environment. Dr. Bari has academic expertise on Environmental Science, Biodiversity, Environmental Protection, Environmental Assessment, Disaster Risk Management, Environment friendly cropping systems and Food Security through sustainable agriculture. His future research interest in achieving food security and safe food production through improve Agroforestry systems in the face of climate change. Dr. Bari has participated in the International Training Program on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), sponsored by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).

Manik AliisMd. Manik Aliis is a faculty member of the Department of Agroforestry and Environment, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He has a background in Agriculture, Agroforestry and Environmental Sciences. He also worked as a scientific officer in Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute. He is involved in teaching, research and outreach in the following areas: sustainable agriculture, climate smart and eco-friendly farming systems, climate resilient crop variety development and food safety, conservation of biodiversity. His future research interest is in achieving food security and safe food production through maximization of agricultural land uses in the face of climate change. He is also interested to assess the impact of different development program in the link of sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

RahmanDr. Md. Shoaibur Rahman is professor and Chairman of the Department of Agroforestry and Environment, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD degree in Silviculture from the Faculty of Forestry and Natural Environment of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2014. He completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hon's) in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Dr. Shoaibur Rahman is now working on the shoot and root adaptive mechanisms of agroforestry trees in water stressed condition. Currently, he has 21 papers published both at international and national journals. He completed four research projects related to root architecture, shoot growth and economic analysis of different agroforestry trees funded by HSTU and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC). He takes the courses on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Policy and Acts in undergraduate and MS Levels. His future research interest is in adaptive mechanism of agroforestry trees in drought prune environment and Environmental Assessment.

HanifDr. Md. Abu Hanif is a faculty in the Department of Agroforestry and Environment, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He acquired his Ph.D. degree in Forest Ecology from South China Botanical Garden, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr. Hanif is a CAS-TWAS fellow. His major research interests include forest ecology, trait-based ecology, forest management, agroforestry, climate change adaptation and mitigation. Besides research work, he is also involved in academic teaching. Dr. Hanif has publications in SCI and Scopus indexed journals (https://hstu.ac.bd/agriculture/agf). Dr. Hanif conducts research on ecology and sustainable management of forests and agroforests of the world. He is also interested to learn, teach, and research on the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) as an academician as well as a researcher.


 

Denmark: Aalborg University

Lone KørnøvLone Kørnøv is Professor at Aalborg University, Denmark and Head of The Danish Centre for Environmental Assessment (DCEA). Her research is focused on impact assessment (SEA, EIA), planning, governance, stakeholder-engagement, and currently also circular economy. She has more than 25-years’ experience within the fields of management and leadership in research and consultancy, Research, university teaching within a Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, PhD supervision, research evaluation, capacity building and teaching at national and local level public administration. She is closely cooperating with the Danish Ministry of Environment & Food in relation to national legislation, guidance and professional training, and in general with local authorities, NGO’s and business. Dr.Helle Nedergaard Nielsen Helle Nedergaard Nielsen is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University, Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Planning, The Danish Center of Environmental Assessment, Denmark. Her field of research and teaching is public participation in environmental assessment and planning. She is experienced in working with environmental impact assessment and strategic environmental impact assessment within various sectors; water management, infrastructure planning, renewable energyn and city planning - often with a focus upon public engagement and participation. Action research is a main driver in her work, both in terms of contributing to the theoretical and conceptual developments and in terms of connecting research and practice whenever possible. Working Problem Based is a natural part of her educational background and her teaching practice. At the moment she is part of a Erasmus+ project; South East Asian-Europe Network for building training and education capacities in Plastic Recycling in Laos and Vietnam. Her focus is to practically engage in Capacity-Building in Higher Education by teaching and developing the Problem Based Learning.

LarsenDr. Sanne Vammen Larsen is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University, Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Planning, The Danish Center for Environmental Assessment, Denmark. Her research is within a framework of sustainable development, environmental planning and decision processes, and focused on Strategic Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment. Dr. Larsen has especially focused on issues of risk and uncertainty in impact assessment and decision-making, as well as integration of climate change and social impacts in impact assessment. She has extensive experience with PBL based teaching in impact assessment and planning at university level. During the past ten years she has designed and taught courses and supervised projects at both bachelor and master level at Aalborg University, as well as served as programme coordinator for the bachelor programme in Urban-, Energy- and Environmental Planning.


 

Lao PDR: National University of Laos

PongmalaMs. Khemngeun Pongmala hold BSc. Ing from Faculty of Civil Engineering (France and NUOL); MSc.A on Urban Environmental Planning (INSA Toulouse, France and Ecole d’Architecture de Hanoi); MSc.Ing on Environmental Engineering (Ecole Polytechnique Montreal, Canada). Ms. Khemngeun is lecturer and researcher since 2006, has served as a Head of Environmental Treatment Technology Unit, department of Environmental Technology, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, National University of Laos. Her main research interests are water resources protection, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Management, Waste management, EIA and SEA. She is engaged in different research projects such as member of research committee of Center of Excellent for Environmental Management. She has served as the Project Director of the EIA capacity building project, supported by World Bank which aims to enhance the knowledge on EIA technical practice, law, regulation, and EIA guideline for the whole country of Lao PDR. Khemngeun has developed a modeling tools created by USEPA for Greater Montreal Basin, Quebec, Canada for protected drinking water resource by applying mathematical modeling to achieve the better understanding of microbial contaminations transport. Ms. Amphai Darasouk received her master’s degree in natural resources and environmental management from Mae Fah Louang University, Thailand. She has been a lecturer of environmental impact assessment at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, National University of Laos for more than 14 years. She has also many years of experience in environmental and social impact assessments and monitoring of a large number of development projects in Lao PDR. In addition, she is currently engaged in research projects on waste and water management.

DarasoukMs. Amphai Darasouk received her master’s degree in natural resources and environmental management from Mae Fah Louang University, Thailand. She has been a lecturer of environmental impact assessment at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, National University of Laos for more than 14 years. She has also many years of experience in environmental and social impact assessments and monitoring of a large number of development projects in Lao PDR. In addition, she is currently engaged in research projects on waste and water management.

ChansomphouDr. Vatthanamixay Chansomphou is a lecturer and researcher of development and environmental economics at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, National University of Laos. He received a PhD of development science from Hiroshima University, Japan. He has extensive research and research management experience across a number of fields, ranging from pure academic to policy supporting research, including economic modelling, international trade and economic growth, economic development and the environment. He is also skillful in statistics, econometric analysis (such as time series analysis, panel data analysis, categorical data analysis, and etc), general equilibrium analysis, and mathematical modeling. His recent works are on the field of environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, economic valuation of natural resources, payment for environmental services, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and solid waste management.


 

Lao PDR: Savannakhet University

ChantavongDr. Somphong Chanthavong holds a PhD. in Environmental Science and Management from University of the Philippines, Los Banos, the Philippines. He obtained a MSc. in Natural Resources Conservation from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand and a BSc. in Forestry Engineering from University of Agriculture in Brno, former Czechoslovakia Socialistic Republic. Dr. Somphong is working as Acting Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Environment at Savannakhet University, Lao PDR. He is also country representative of the Lao PDR to SEAMEO SEARCA Governing Board. Currently, he has four papers published at international institutions such as Institute for Global Environment Strategies (p44-54, 2004); Environment Asia (Vol. 12, Issue 2, 2019, p116-125; and Vol. 10, Issue 1, 2017, p52-62) and International Journal of Conservation Science (Vol.10, Issue 2, 2019, p 393-402). Regarding Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), he participated in the International Training Program on SEA. His main interest is interdisciplinary research related to natural and environmental protection.

VongmanyDr. Outhevy Vongmany is Acting Head of the Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Savannakhet University, Lao PDR. Dr. Outhevy holds a PhD in Agricultural Science from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and a Master’s in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos. Her Master’s and PhD research focused on climate change  impacts and adaptation among rainfed rice farmers in southern Laos, including flood vulnerability assessment and modelling, socioeconomic surveys, climate change impact projections and a study of adaptative practices and options in communities living on a flood plain. While studying for her Bachelor of Environmental Science at the National University of Laos, Dr. Outhevy participated in study of Non-Timber Forest Products use in northern Laos for a project of the Center for International Forestry Research. At SKU, Dr. Outhevy lectures in Environmental Field Survey, Industry and Mining, Soil Degradation and Erosion and Environmental Impact Assessment.

VanhnasinMr. Yoth Vanhnasin, Graduated Master degree program in Natural Resources Conservation, University of the Philippines Los Banos, Philippines. He obtained a BSc degree program in Forest Management from Faculty of Forestry Resource, National University of Laos. Mr. Yoth is working as academic staff and coordinator of Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Savannakhet University. He researches on assessment of the management effectiveness and potential for ecotourism of Dong Na Tard Protected Area, in Lao PDR. He is also team member in research on collaborative research on local peoples’ livelihood and adaptive capacity to the impacts of large scale plantations and climate change in Lao PDR; comparative analysis of the rice yield production farmer in Nalou, Muang Luang Villageand Latdang Noy, Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province; and Interlinkages between Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Forest Governance: Lessons from Lao PDR. 

KhouangvichitMr. Phouthasone Khouangvichit holds Msc. in Environmental Science and Management from University of the Philippines Los Baños, Philippines. He graduated a bachelor of Environmental Management from National University of Laos. Mr. Phouthasone is currently working as academic staff and assistant researcher at Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Savannakhet University (SKU), Lao PDR. He has deep interest in Environmental Science, especially in Natural Resource Management. He has participated as project team member in performing EIA study for the Low-Income Housing Project in Labas village, Santa Rosa city, Laguna Province, Philippines, and functioned as local EIA team for performing IEE study for the construction of new campus of Savannakhet University. In addition, Mr. Phouthasone also has participated in research on Land use change and water balance in upland areas of Sekong Watershed to improve Sustainable livelihood of local communities of Vietnam and Lao PDR. He has taken part in national project on production forest exploration at Namkong Watershed in Attapue Province. He is member in working group in the International Project on Investigating Land-use/ Cover changes along the East-West Economic Corridor in Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand.

NirvahnMr. Phoukham Niravanh holds Msc. in Environmental technology and management from Kasetsart University, Thailand, and Bsc. in Environmental Science at National University of Laos. Currently he is working as Deputy Head of Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Savannakhet University, Lao PDR. Mr Phoukham is also function as a lecturer in Intensive Environmental Pollution and Control, Environmental Quality Monitoring at the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Savannakhet University, Lao PDR. He has participated in Training course on Greenhouse gas accounting, transportation and waste management for operational academy staff 2015, Bangkok, Thailand, and the Training course on wastewater treatment and hazardous waste management, 2018, Savannahket Province, Lao PDR.

NinchaleuneDr. Bounheuang Ninchaleune obtained his PhD in socio-economic and environmental science from University of Putra Malaysia. He graduated a BSc and MSc in Forestry Science from Technology University Dresden (Germany). Currently, he is working as Vice President for Academic Affairs of Savannakhet University. In 2009 he worked as a Lecturer for EIA and Forest Soil Science at Faculty of Forestry, National University of Laos. In 2001 he worked as a Consultant for Road Improvement ADB Project for the Environmental Impact Assessment for 3 months in Xieng Khouang Province in Lao PDR. In 2000 he worked as a Consultant for the Community Managed Irrigation Sector Project on the fruit tree, timber planting and Sloping Agriculture Land Technology (SALT) establishment in the 4 Provinces and 1 Special Zone, Lao PDR. In 1999 he carryied out of Socio-Economic Survey in concessionaire areas in Vientiane and Xayaboury Provinces, Lao PDR. In 1999 he conducted a research for FAO Project a case study titled “Forest Harvesting Impact on the Training and Model Forest Sang Thong District, Vientiane Municipality, LAO PDR.


 

Bangladesh: Jahangirnagar University

ShammiDr. Mashura Shammi is Associate Professor at Department of Environmental Sciences, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. She has completed B.Sc. (honours) and M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. She has completed PhD in Ecology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences
(UCAS) by the funding of Chinese Academy of Sciences and The World Academy of Sciences (CAS-TWAS) President’s Fellowship Program in 2017. She was a fellow of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and completed international training program on Strategic Environmental Assessment. She is the coordinator of the ITP-SEA Alumni Network (SEAN) Bangladesh. In addition, she is the fellow of Organization of Women in Science and Development (OWSD) Early career women scientist (ECWS) 2019-2020 on “Anthropogenic Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission and carbon dynamics in the Ganges River, Bangladesh”. She was also a fellow of EcoPeace Leadership Center (EPLC)-Asia in 2018-2019. RahmanDr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman is associate professor of Environmental Sciences at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Jahangirnagar  University, Bangladesh. His research is focused on ecotoxicology, environmental pollution remediation, and exposure risk assessment for health and environment. Particularly, his research theme covers the area of monitoring of emerging organic micro-pollutants in environmental matrices and their health implications around the urban area of Bangladesh, water security issues under changing climate and total sanitation to achieve SDG6. He is MEXT (Japan), EPLC (Korea) and CONEM (Norway) fellow/member. He has published about forty scientific articles in peer-review international journals. TareqDr. Shafi Mohammad Tareq is Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He completed B.Sc. (honours) and M.Sc. from Department of Chemistry, Jahangirnagar University. He obtained M.S. from Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Nagoya University and awarded D.Sc. from  Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University, Japan. Dr. Tareq completed Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from the University of Nottingham and became a fellow of the higher education academy, UK. In his early career, he worked as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at Nagoya University and the University of Shiga Prefecture. He worked as country leader of several international research consortia. Dr. Tareq also worked as commonwealth academic fellow at the University of Birmingham, UK. Recently he worked as Associate professor of the School of Biosciences, the University of Nottingham. He got very prestigious BAS-TWAS young scientist gold medal, 2013 from Bangladesh Academy of Science for his outstanding contribution to national science and technology. Dr. Tareq enlisted as Fellow (FRSC) and Charted Environmentalist (CEnv) in Royal Chemical Society, UK. To date he has published more than 70 papers in national/international journals and contributed several chapters in books published by international publishers. Vietnam: Thuyloi University

HoaDr. Vu Hoang Hoa is assoc. prof. and a senior lecturer at the Thuyloi University (formerly Water Resources University) in Hanoi, Vietnam. She has a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering Science from the University of Melbourne (Australia) and a PhD in agro-meteorological engineering from the Odessa State Environmental University, Ukraine. She has served as lecturer, researcher, consultant in projects and studies on policy evaluation, water resources management and capacity building with focus on environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment and sustainable development. She has over 20 years practical experience working with theGovernment of Vietnam and international donors preparing EIAs and SEA, environmental management plans for water resources, rural development, transport, tourism and infrastructure projects.

HaDr. Doan Thu Ha is Associate Professor at the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Thuyloi University (TLU) Vietnam. She completed her B.Sc. from Department of Urban Infrastructure, Hanoi Architectural University. She obtained M.Sc. of Water Resources and Environmental management from UNESCO Institute of Hydrology and Environment, Delft, Netherlands. She completed her PhD on Environmental Engineering at the University of Kumamoto, Japan. She became lecture in 1996 and worked as head of Division of Water supply, sanitation and Drainage at TLU. She has more than 20 year’s experiences of Water supply, drainage and sanitation planning and design. She has also more than 10 year’s experiences on Strategic Environmental Assessment during her projects on Provincial and Regional Environment, Water supply and Drainage planning.

ThangDr Nguyen Thi Xuan Thang is a Lecturer on Natural Resources & Environmental Management at the Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Chemistry & Environment, Thuyloi University (TLU), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. She has awarded PhD in Environmental Science and Climate Change at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health, University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia since 2015. Her thesis research focused on coastal vulnerability assessment in the contexts of climate change in the Mekong river delta in Vietnam. She has more than 20 years of research, teaching, consultancy and governmental management experience in Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), social & health impacts, vulnerability assessment & ivelihoods, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Climate change and Green Growth, Sustainable Development, etc. She received  research grants, awards from Government of Vietnam, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development- Vietnam, and Ministry of Industry and Trade- Vietnam. She currently authored and co-authored 22 publications of reports, journals and studies in both English and Vietnamese.


 

Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City University

Van HaDr. Nguyen Thi Van Ha is being an Associate Professor and Dean of Faculty of Environment at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam (HCMUNRE) and other Universities for both undergraduate and graduate students. There she has been teaching on Environmental Impact and Risk assessment, Environmental management, environmental economic and Sustainability. She hold Doctor Degree from Tokyo University and has more than 20 year experience as short term consultant on Safeguard and environmental for the World Bank (2008 –now), independent environmental expert for Asian Development Bank (ADB), for Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Planning and Investment, for Black and Veatch international consultant, for European Investment Bank as consultant, reviewer and supervisor for many types of important investment projects in Vietnam. She is being the  nternational inviting lecturer for AITVN Learning Center for the professional training programs on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, EIA review and Health impact assessment, etc. and working experience in many countries in Asia and Europe.

Phuong VuDr. Thai Phuong Vu has background on environmental engineering. He got Ph.D. at Korea Institute of Science and Technology. He had worked at Cantho Department of Natural Resources and Environment for 16 years. He is being a Head of the Natural Resources and Environmental Management Division, Faculty of Environment, HCMUNRE. His researches are focused on quality of water and indoor air. He has experience related to environment of Mekong delta in Vietnam: wetland, surface water, aquaculture, and river-based urban areas.

PhuongDr. Nguyen Lu Phuong is a lecturer at HCMUNRE. He received Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan in 2012 and award on Postdoctoral Fellowship there from 2017-2019. His study focuses on Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques to investigate flow distribution in indoor and built environment. He has published more than 10 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has attended 30 international and national scientific conferences in the areas of environment, mechanical ventilation and public health engineering. He has worked on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for various energy projects (hydro-power plants, thermal-power plants and high-voltages transmission lines), water supply and waste water treatment projects since 2001.

Phuong TranMs. Tran Thi Bich Phuong Tran, Master on Environmental Science in HochiMinh City University of Sciences and being a lecturer at HCMUNRE. There she has provided teaching and researching on following areas: Forestry resources and biodiversity management, environment impact and risk assessment, Environmental Management, Environmental policy and law. She got more than 10-year experience on environmental
consultant and members of the EIA appraisal committee for EIA reports at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment where she could achieve excellent practical knowledge on EIA and sustainable development.

Diem PhuongMs. Pham Thi Diem Phuong, Master on Environmental Management at HochiMinh City University of Technology and being a lecturer at HCMUNRE. Her major is environmental management, especially sustainable development, environmental communication and education. She has had 15-year experience on teaching and participating in many projects on environment and climate change in roles of lecturer, coach, researchers, coordinators, etc. She is currently expertise in coaching and raising enterprises and community’s awareness on environment,  energy efficiency and environmental friendly lifestyle.

Quynh TrangMs. Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang, Master on environmental management and being a lecturer of HCMUNRE on many related subjects such as: Environmental economics, Environmental impact and risk assessment, Environmental safety and health. She is an expert on analysis of the environment impacts and cost effectiveness and economic feasibility of the investment projects which support managers make a decision about the project via EIA reports and studies.
