CANCELLED Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in a Low Resource Setting in Sub-Saharan Africa

Research profile seminar

CANCELLED

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled.

Blessing, a young girl in Nigeria, was caught in a house fire and had severe burns which consequently made her jaw, chest and arm to be joined together when the wound healed. She was abandoned and exposed to all sorts of abuse but remained strong until help came her way through the Children's Burn Foundation in California and the Radiance Sculpt team in Nigeria. Dr. Emmanuel Ehizome Esezebor, a burn reconstruction expert, works pro bono from Irrua, Benin City, in Nigeria, to help Blessing and other children.

Dr. Emmanuel Ehizome Esezebor visits University of Gothenburg next week and it is our privilege to invite you to a seminar at Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, hosted by Global Sustainable Futures, 19 May 2022 14:00-15:00. This is a seminar not only about outstanding medical help and expertise, but just as much an opportunity to learn and discuss more about public health and the dire needs of many children across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Global Sustainable Futures (GSF) is an initiative by University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology to facilitate and promote the development of partnerships between researchers, teachers and students in Gothenburg and partners in low- and middle-income countries. GSF is a part of Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development.
