Research profile seminar
Welcome to a webinar to discuss how to succeed in inter- and trans-disciplinary science and co-creation and promote more sustainable societies.
Although traditional disciplinary science has been tremendously successful to increase knowledge in many different fields, it has been unable to solve societal challenges that involve complex and interlinked human-environment systems. The Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) address precisely such societal challenges. To reach these goals, inter- and trans-disciplinary science and co-creation are highly needed.
Together with Oslo Metropolitan University and Södertörn University, the SDSN Northern Europe secretariat now arranges a webinar to discuss how to succeed in inter- and trans-disciplinary science and co-creation and promote more sustainable societies.
You will learn how these concepts are defined and can be applied, get advice on success factors and barriers from inter- and trans-disciplinary projects, hear about how funding agencies view this type of research and how industry use these concepts. You will also be able to interact with the other participants, share experiences and learn from each other.

Lecturer: The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Northern Europe gathers more than 50 Nordic universities and other knowledge institutions to identify and fill knowledge gaps, provide high-quality education for sustainable development, and provide advice and solutions for the transformation to a sustainable society. The network is hosted by Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV) at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Any employee at the University of Gothenburg is welcome to collaborate actively in the network.
