GAC Biennal 2020 - expanded knowledge of carbon reserves and cycling

News: Dec 07, 2020

On November 24th, the 2020 GAC Biennal took place online. Keynote speakers Prof. Isaac Rodrigues Dos Santos, University of Gothenburg, Prof. Filip Johnsson, Chalmers University and Senior Lecturer Anne Bjorkman, University of Gothenburg presented exciting new research paths.

- We had a nice meeting last week, with really remarkable talks. Taken collectively it was really interesting to expand our knowledge of carbon reserves and cycling, including Blue Carbon, Arctic Greening, and the “techno” solution to carbon storage and the potential for negative emissions, says Erik Thomson, coordinator, GAC.

At the conference members discussed the GAC research inventory and were asked to think about what GAC can do for them, and how members might be able to contribute to GAC. A survey that members can complete will be open until December 10. Members are asked for more input and feedback for GAC leadership to think about how to grow and evolve. Thank you in advance for the input!
