Olof Drakenberg

There is but one planet Earth and far too many bad decisions are made. Through my work I want to contribute better decisions and better policies. I work as a policy analyst for GMV Environmental Economics and Policy group at the Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV), University of Gothenburg/Chalmers. I have 20 years of professional experience on integrating environment in large public and private organisations. I have a particular interest in development, environmental governance and the use of economic analysis to inform decision-making at national level. I believe that a knowledgeable and active civil society is critical for the necessary transformation towards a greener economy.

I have a long experience as advisor to Sida and have recently undertaken work for UNDP, OECD and the Swedish EPA. I have a MSc in Business Administration and Economics and I have studied Journalism at the University of Gothenburg. I also lecture at PhD courses on “Research to policy for Sustainable development".
