Student sustainability organisations

There is a number of different sustainability related student organisations at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers. Most of them are associated to the different student unions in the city.

The organisations arrange different activities, such as lectures, workshops, movie screenings, debates, bike days, study visits and much more. They also work to improve the universities sustainability efforts in different ways by being part of campus development and working for integrating sustainability into all education programs.

You find upcoming events arranged by the student groups at their own Facebook pages or gathered on the Facebook page Gothenburg Student Sustainability Hub.

Join a group or start an own initiative
The student organisations are happy to welcome new students to join the organisations! By joining a sustainability organisation, you can make a change for a better world, acquire project management skills, communications skills and group dynamics, have lots of fun and of course make new friends! If there is no student organisation on your faculty we are happy to help you start one. You are also welcome to start your own project or other type of initiative. Further down you can read more about the support Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development offers to student sustainability organisations and initiatives.
