Welcome to an informal meeting with the Sida Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change on September 21.
Welcome to an informal meeting with the Sida Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change on September 21.
The Sida Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change wants to expand its collaboration with researchers at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg. In collaboration with Global Sustainable Futures, at the Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV), we now welcome researchers with an interest and knowledge in environmental integration relevant to Sida¿s partner countries to an informal meeting.
The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency - Sida - has commissioned the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences, Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg to assist Sida staff in integrating environmental and climate change perspectives into Swedish development cooperation. The Helpdesk gives support, on demand, by providing advice and strategic guidance on environmental integration at policy, program and project level.
A key feature of the Helpdesk work is to draw upon and make use of, current research and networks. This can take many forms from short telephone calls to active involvement in meetings with Sida or commenting on texts.
Agenda
- Brief presentation of the Helpdesk (mandate, type of assignments and how researchers can be involved)
- Short presentation of participants and their research area
- Discussion and way forward
