Nyhet: 2020-09-18
Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg recently joined forces to strengthen their collaborations with low- and middle-income countries and established the platform Global Sustainable Futures (GSF). Global Sustainable Futures wants to showcase and promote ongoing collaborations, as well as initiate and develop new collaboration projects. The platform also aims to increase the exchange of knowledge among students, teachers, researchers and society to promote actions for realising Agenda 2030.
GSF will host a digital side event on November 25th 2020 at 9-12 am, linked to the Act Sustainable Research Conference (November 18-19). The event will include a session that showcases students’ theses at the master’s or bachelors’ level. Selected theses addressing different geographic regions and topics will be presented in a 3-minute pitch format where the emphasis will be on the topic and your findings. The audience will come from various academic disciplines and your presentation should thus be suitable for the general public rather than for your supervisor or class mates.
Your proposal should contain your finalized and submitted thesis as well as contact details to yourself and your supervisor. Use the subject title: “Student Speed Talk” when submitting your proposal. Please send an e-mail to: olofd@chalmers.se. Deadline for submissions is October 5th.
If you don't want to present your work but are interested in listening to other students or take part in other sessions in the GSF event (presentation of GSF’s activities, ongoing research, networking opportunities etc.), please indicate your interest. We will soon present how and when to register your participation.
For questions about this call, please contact Olof Drakenberg. olofd@chalmers.se Phone: +46(0)766 18 60 38
We look forward to reading your proposal !
